It is with a heavy heart that I read the news of Eleanor Coppola's passing yesterday. She was a magnificent woman, a devoted mother, loving wife, talented filmmaker and artist. She never stopped inspiring or encouraging others, telling people to work on their projects and she was an example of that drive, directing her debut feature film at 80! I found Eleanor gracious and kind in a chance meeting in a coffee shop in New York City, even just a short meeting left an impression of what a striking woman she is. My warmest condolences to all the Coppola family and all who knew and loved Eleanor.
